SUNYAC Releases Men's Ice Hockey Weekly Awards

SYRACUSE, N.Y. –  The SUNYAC chooses Plattsburgh's Bennett Stockdale as the Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week, Geneseo's Adam Harris as the Goaltender of the Week and Potsdam's Lenny Perno as the Rookie of the Week.

Stockdale turned in a strong performance over the weekend of play for Plattsburgh, as the senior forward tallied four points and a mark of +3, as No. 7 Plattsburgh State defeated No. 4 Geneseo 6-2. Stockdale registered the first two goals of the game for Plattsburgh and then added two assists later in the deciding third period. The Ottawa, Ontario native now leads the SUNYAC with 15 goals, while being tied for second in points with 29.

Harris earned the win over Potsdam this weekend, playing all 60 minutes in goal and only allowing one shot to get past him. He tallied 34 saves and a save percentage of .971.

Goaltender Perno made 44 saves in a 2-0 shutout of Brockport on Friday night. It was his second shutout of the season.
