Mulderig and Ott Tabbed SUNYAC Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC has selected Liam Mulderig from Geneseo as this week's Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week and Cortland's Jordan Ott as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Mulderig was stellar on offense for the Knights this week, scoring two goals in both games. Mulderig netted both of the Knights goals in a 2-2 tie against Oswego, and then backed up his performance with two more goals in a 4-1 win over Potsdam.

Ott posted a 1-0-1 record with a 0.50 GAA, a .909 save percentage and one shutout for 11th-ranked Cortland last week. In a 2-0 victory at Plattsburgh on Wednesday, Ott recorded five saves and defended several dangerous serves into the box as Cortland handed the Cardinals their first loss of the season. He then stopped five shots and allowed one goal in a 1-1 home tie versus Brockport on Saturday. The Red Dragons played the final 72:14 down a player and the goal allowed came while playing a man down, and Cortland held the Golden Eagles off the scoreboard in the second half to secure the tie. For the season, Ott has posted an 11-2-2 record with a 0.76 GAA, a .792 save percentage and seven shutouts.
