Cortland Captures 2023 SUNYAC Men's Soccer Trophy

CORTLAND, N.Y. - Cortland outlasted Oneonta, 1-0, to win its 20th overall SUNYAC Men's Soccer title, Saturday at Cortland's Fred Holloway Field.  With the win the Red Dragons earned an automatic berth into the NCAA DIII tournament.

Cortland's Mateo Marra was named the SUNYAC Men's Soccer Tournament MVP. Marra tallied seven points with two goals and three assists in the tournament including the game-winning assist against Oneonta.

Elite 20

The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.

Oneonta's Braedan Morrison is the 2023 men's soccer Elite 20 winner. Morrison is sophomore exercise science major with a 4.0 overall GPA.
