NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - New Paltz beat Cortland in the second matchup of the day, 5-0, to take its first-ever SUNYAC softball championship crown, Sunday at New Paltz's Mary Gray Deane Field. With the win, the Hawks Earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III tournament.
New Paltz's Lindsay Roman was named the SUNYAC Softball MVP after registering three shutouts with eight strikeouts over 26.2 innings pitched.
