Q&A: Nick DeVito

Q&A: Nick DeVito

CORTLAND, N.Y. - This week's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Q&A is with the Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week, Nick DeVito (Terryville, Conn.).

DeVito led the men's hockey team to a 5-3 SUNYAC win over Potsdam Friday night, netting a combined five points behind three goals and two assists.

He collected his first assist of the night in the first period on the power play to even the score at one after the first, before assisting a second power play score 6:54 into the third to cut the deficit to one (3-2). Just over two minutes later his power play score pulled the Mustangs even at three with the hosts, before adding two more for the third period hat trick as he lifted Morrisville State to the come-from-behind SUNYAC win.

All three of his goals came over a seven minute span in the third, completing the hat trick performance.
