SUNYAC selects Men's Ice Hockey Athletes of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y - State University of New York Athletic Confrence (SUNYAC) selects Geneseo teammates Devin McDonald, (Calgary, Alta.), and Conlan Keenan, (Penfield, N.Y.), and Buffalo state's Andrew Husted, (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) as its Men's Ice Hockey Goaltender, Player, and Rookie of the week respectively.

McDonald logged back-to-back shutouts to lead the Knights to a pair of SUNYAC victories last week. He stopped 26 shots in a 2-0 over Plattsburgh on Friday before logging 17 saves in Saturday's 5-0 win to tie the NCAA Division III record with his 10th shutout of the season. He is Ranked first in the country with a .956 save percentage and a 0.89 goals against average, McDonald also moved into a tie for ninth place in Division III history with his 64th-career victory. Geneseo clinched a berth to its ninth-straight SUNYAC Tournament with the Plattsburgh decision before winning its 15th-straight game the following night.

Keenan scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in Friday's 2-0 victory over Plattsburgh as the Knights clinched their ninth-consecutive SUNYAC Tournament berth. He then added two assists in Saturday's 5-0 win over Potsdam as Geneseo won its 15th-consecutive game. Keenan leads the nation in scoring with 1.94 points per game and is tied for fourth with 16 goals.

The Rookie forward scored three goals in a pair of games over the weekend, helping Buffalo State to a win and a tie against No. 14/15 Fredonia. Husted scored twice including the game-tying goal with just six seconds remaining in regulation in a 4-4 tie at Fredonia on Saturday, and then sealed Saturday's 3-1 home victory with an empty-netter for his eighth goal of the season.
