CORTLAND, N.Y. - State University of New York Athletic Confrence (SUNYAC) selects Brockport junior Matthew Schneider, (Manlius, N.Y.) as Goaltender of the week, Buffalo State freshman Andrew Husted, (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) as Player of the week, and Potsdam freshman Rob Clerc, (Wappinger Falls, N.Y.) as its Rookie of the week.
Scheinder had a big weekend for the Green and Gold. He picked up back to back wins on the weekend posting a 1.00 GAA.
Husted continued his hot stretch with a five-point weekend in a pair of Bengal victories. Husted had a goal and two assists in Friday's 4-2 win at Cortland and then set up a pair of goals including the game-winner in Buffalo State's 6-5 win over No. 3 Oswego on Saturday. Husted is currently on a five-game point streak with five goals and four assists during that stretch.
Freshman Rob Clerc helped the Bears to a 1-0-1 week in SUNYAC play with four points. He scored his first two career goals in a 4-4 tie with Morrisville State on Tuesday night. He followed it up with a goal and an assist in a 7-4 win at Plattsburgh on Saturday night.
