KANSAS CITY, MO. -- The United Soccer Coaches announced the 2022 NCAA Division III Soccer All-Americans Wednesday afternoon. Seniors Lucas Fecci (Somers, N.Y./Somers) and Nate Hanna (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) were among the 46 men's soccer players that were recognized as both were a First Team selection.

"Achieving First Team All-American is the ultimate achievement for a college athlete," said Head Coach Iain Byrne. "That means you are one of the top players in the country. Both Lucas and Nate were high school All-Americans, and every year they have continued to develop and improve."

This season, Fecci was named First Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference, the Huntley Parker SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year, and the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team. He started all 21 games for the Red Dragons and led the team with 14 goals, including five game-winners, and added five assists for 33 points. Fecci finished tied for tenth most in program history in goals and points scored in a single season.

This previous fall, Hanna was named First Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference, and the SUNYAC Tournament MVP along with a SUNYAC All-Tournament Team selection. He started all 21 games in net, allowed 18 goals, saved 72 shots for a .800 save percentage, and registered seven complete shutouts with one combined shutout. He also contributed on the offensive side of the ball with two assists. Hanna's 15 wins and 1,852 minutes on the field are tied for fifth most in a season in program history.

"They both personify the Oneonta model of recruiting and developing top high school talent in New York," Byrne continued. "They serve as a great role model for prospective division three soccer players and the SUNYAC conference."

This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
