SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Cortland teammates Mateo Marra and Luke van Galen have been selected as the SUNYAC Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Marra had nine points on three goals and three assists in three wins for Cortland last week. In a 3-0 win at Hobart on Tuesday, Marra was involved in all three Red Dragon goals, scoring twice, including the game winner, and adding an assist. He then scored the game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory at Buffalo St. on Saturday and capped off his week with two assists, including one on the game winner, in a 3-1 win at Ithaca on Sunday. For the season, Marra leads Cortland with 23 points on seven goals and a team-high nine assists.

Van Galen led Cortland to a 3-0 record last week, posting a 3-0 record with a 0.33 GAA, 17 saves, a .944 save percentage and two shutouts. He started the week with six saves in a 3-0 victory at Hobart on Tuesday. Van Galen then turned aside five shots in a 3-0 conference win at Buffalo St. on Saturday, and he finished off the week with six saves in a 3-1 triumph at Ithaca on Sunday. For the season, van Galen has posted a 9-2-2 record with a 1.31 GAA and four shutouts.
