SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Cortland's Jack Coleman repeats as the SUNYAC Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week while Brockport's Andrew Taylor is honored as the Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second time in 2022.
Coleman helped lead Cortland (6-3-2, 2-0-2 SUNYAC) to a 5-0 home conference win versus Fredonia Saturday afternoon in the team's lone game of the week, scoring two goals and adding an assist. He scored the game winner in the 21st minute, assisted on the team's third goal in the 49th minute and tallied his second goal of the game in the 52nd minute. For the season, Coleman leads the Red Dragons in scoring with 16 points on a team-best seven goals and two assists.
Taylor has played all 90 minutes in every game so far this season for Brockport. He had 11 saves and only allowed one goal this past week recording his fifth shutout of the season. Taylor has only allowed seven goals in all 11 games this season.
