GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo softball team was selected as an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and will travel to Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Ky. to face Dickinson (Pa.) in the NCAA Regional.

Geneseo earns its second-consecutive NCAA Tournament berth and just its third trip to the tournament in program history. The Knights won their first two games at last season's NCAA Regional defeating Mt. St. Mary, 4-0, before taking down host St. John Fisher, 2-0, but fell to the Cardinals in consecutive games to end their postseason run.

This year the Knights posted a 33-10 record, winning 30 games in consecutive seasons for the first time in program history, including a 14-4 mark in regular season conference play. Geneseo won its first three games in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament, including a 4-2 win over host Cortland, but fell in back-to-back games to the Red Dragons to finish runner-up.

The Knights will face the Dickinson Red Devils in the opening round of the four-team, double-elimination NCAA Regional on Friday at 2 p.m. Geneseo is 4-3 all-time in NCAA Tournament games, including a 2-0 mark in tournament openers.
