Doody and Fisk Named SUNYAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - SUNYAC picks Geneseo's Sierra Doody as its Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week while Cortland's Danielle Fisk repeats as the Field Athlete of the Week.

Doody had an impressive meet at Nazareth this past weekend, as she set a program record for the 1000m with a time of 2:55.09, breaking a record that had been held since 2006. She was also on the 4x400 relay team that finished with a time of 4:02.45 in second place.

In her first college combined-event, Fisk won the pentathlon with a score of 3,376 points that currently ranks second nationally in Division III. She won all five events, three with AARTFC qualifying marks - the 60-meter hurdles (9.25), the high jump (1.64 meters/5' 4.5") and the long jump (5.32 meters/17' 5.5"). Her other two wins were in the shot put (9.58 meters/31' 5.25") and the 800 meters (2:38.93). Fisk's high jump ranks ninth nationally.
