Oneonta's Nnate and Fabrizio Earn All-American at NCAA Division III Indoor Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - Seniors Ejim Nnate (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) and Isabella Fabrzio earned All-American status in their respective events at the Saturday NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Nnate was a first-team selection in the 60-meter hurdles, and Fabrizio grabbed second-team honors in the shot put. 

Nnate placed seventh overall in the 60-hurdle finals with a time of 8.70. She becomes the first hurdler in Oneonta program history to be named an All-American. Buffalo State's Natalia Sawyer was the national champion at 8.50. 

Fabrizio placed 16th in the shot put to earn second-team recognition. On her third and final attempt, she threw her furthest throw at 13.16 meters. MIT's Alexis Boykin placed first at 14.79 meters. 

Oneonta now prepares for the outdoor season with the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, SC, on Thur. Mar. 14. 

Nnate Advances to 60-Meter Hurdle Finals at NCAA Division III Championships

Oneonta women's track & field senior Ejim Nnate (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) posted a new school record in the 60-meter hurdle on Friday afternoon to advance to the finals at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. 

Nnate ran an 8.64 to break her own school record in the first heat of the event. The senior placed seventh overall in the prelims and races in the finals on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Also competing on Saturday is senior Isabella Fabrizio (Highland Mills, NY/Cornwall). She throws in the shot put at 2:30 p.m.
