Nnate and Eckl Take SUNYAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Oneonta's Ejim Nnate takes the SUNYAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week award for the third time this season. Geneseo's Janelle Eckl earns Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week recognition.

Senior Nnate broke her own 60-meter hurdles program record with a time of 8.82 in the finals of the Bomber Invitational. She placed second overall and was the top Division III finisher in the meet. The time currently ties for ninth in Division III. She was third in the prelims at 8.90. Nnate also won the long jump at 5.06 meters.

Eckl put up an impressive performance at the Brockport Invitational this past weekend, putting up 3387 points in the Pentathlon, good enough for fifth best in the country. Eckl's score put her second at the competition and helped the Knights take first overall out of 14 teams.
