PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's Track & Field Teams were released on Tuesday, with junior Noah Bonesteel (Averill Park, N.Y./Averill Park), sophomore Charles Cypress (New Windsor, N.Y./Cornwall), graduate student Aidan Masten (Peru, N.Y./Seton Catholic), and sophomore Faris Webber (Arlington, Va./Washington Liberty) each earning the postseason honors. Bonesteel and Cypress were each advanced to the All-America ballot with voting beginning immediately and the team's releasing on Wednesday, July 10.

To be eligible for this honor, individuals must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and be a sophomore academically and athletically while also placing in the top 50 in their region in a single event.

Bonesteel, the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Elite 20 Award winner for both indoor and outdoor track, finished the year holding a 4.00 GPA while also finishing as one of the top runners for the Cardinals during the 2023-24 season. The junior finished third at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships in the mile run and then finished third at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships in the 1,500-meter run. Bonesteel also earned Mideast All-Region Honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coach Association (USTFCCCA) during the indoor season, powered by his career-best run at the regional championships, earning him a fourth-place finish.

Cypress also enjoyed a breakout season as one of the top sprinters in the SUNYAC in 2023-24, while maintaining a GPA of 3.87. Cypress set the indoor program record for the 200-meter dash twice, setting the mark at 22.20 at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships, where he earned a third-place finish. Cypress was also a part of the program's outdoor record in the 4x100-relay, set at Middlebury on Apr. 20 with a time of 42.04 seconds. He continued his strong season with two top-three finishes at the SUNYAC Championships, placing third in the 100-meter dash and second in the 200-meter race. His season was compounded with USTFCCCA Mideast All-Region honors in both the 100- and 400-meter dash.

Masten concluded his strong career as a Cardinal in 2023-24, helping the team accumulate points throughout the season competing in the long jump while holding a 3.90 GPA. He qualified for both regional meets, placing 18th at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Indoor Championships in the long jump and then finishing ninth at the Outdoor Championships with a career-best jump of 6.85 meters to conclude his career. He scored points for the team at the SUNYAC outdoor championships as well, placing fifth for the Cards.

Webber, who also won the SUNYAC Elite 20 Award during the outdoor season, had a strong first full season on the track and field squad as he carried a pristine 4.00 cumulative GPA. Competing in the heptathlon in the indoor season and decathlon in the outdoor season, Webber placed 12th at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships and then was able to score for his team with an eighth-place finish at the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships, putting together career-best marks at both conference championships.
