New Paltz freshman setter Maddie Zwickl averaged 11.33 assists per set in a 3-1 week for the Hawks. Zwickl also averaged 1.42 digs per set, 0.67 kills per set, 0.42 service aces per set and 0.17 blocks per set. She dished out 29 assists and added five digs in a 3-0 loss to Williams College on Tuesday. On Friday, in a rematch of the 2013 SUNYAC Tournament final against Buffalo State, she handed out 37 assists and added six digs in a 3-0 New Paltz victory. Finally, on Saturday, Zwickl tallied 36 assists and four kills in a 3-0 triumph over The College at Brockport before collecting 34 assists, five digs and four service aces in a 3-0 win over SUNY Plattsburgh. Zwickl ranks fourth in the SUNYAC in assists per set (8.21). New Paltz (20-4, 6-0 SUNYAC) next competes at the Richard Stockton Osprey Classic from Friday-Saturday, Oct. 17-18, at Richard Stockton College.
