Afredo Mazzuca finished fourth out of 289 runners to lead Geneseo to first out of 21 teams at the 34th-annual Geneseo Invitational, Saturday, at Letchworth State Park. Mazzuca covered the eight-kilometer circuit in 25:09.0, which was the third-fastest time by a collegiate runner (a Geneseo alumnus won the race) in a field of 289 total runners. The field also included nationally ranked No. 12 Dickinson (Pa.), No. 30 Oneonta as well as regionally ranked Ithaca (No. 6), Elizabethtown (No. 9 in Mideast) and Hamilton (No. 10).
