Garcia-Cassani bested the 383-runner field to lead the top-ranked Knights to first place out of a stacked field at the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle, hosted by Rowan on Saturday. Garcia-Cassani logged a winning time of 23:19.9, pulling away from the field for a win by nearly eight seconds. The victory was his fourth of the season after also winning the Oswego Invitational (Sept. 10), the Williams' Purple Valley Classic (Sept. 24) and the Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational (Oct. 1). Saturday's field included nine nationally-ranked teams, including No. 5 MIT, No. 11 RPI, and No. 13 St. Lawrence.
