A goaltender from Oshawa, Ontario, Cadieux finished his junior year with a 15-7-1 record and became the ninth two-time AHCA All-American in program history. He ranked fifth in Division III with a 1.78 goals-against average and was tied for 12th in the nation with a .929 save percentage. Cadieux allowed 41 goals and recorded 534 saves during the 2012-13 season. In just two seasons with the Cardinals, he has posted a 31-12-4 record with 1,097 saves.
In addition to his contributions on the ice, Cadieux is a business major with a 3.75 grade-point average. Cadieux is the lone State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) representative on the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America Division III Men’s At-Large Team and is one of six ice hockey players to be recognized.
To be eligible for Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. The At-Large Team consists of student-athletes from 12 men’s intercollegiate sports, which includes fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.
