SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC selects Geneseo's Brynn Mooney as its Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Buffalo State's Makhia Laster the Field Athlete of the Week.

Mooney won two events at the Geneseo quad meet on Saturday. Mooney took first in the 200m at 24.82, then was on the winning 4x100 at 48.40 good enough for an AARTFC regional qualifying time.

Laster had a strong weekend for the Bengals, earning a pair of victories at the Geneseo Invite on Saturday evening. The junior took first in the long jump, coming up with the best mark in the SUNYAC this season and eighth-best jump in the country this season at 5.75 meters. She also added another victory in the 100-meter dash, finishing with a time of 12.53 seconds.
