Cortland 24th on AVCA Preseason Poll; New Paltz Earns Votes

SUNY Cortland women's volleyball was ranked No. 24 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) preseason poll while New Paltz received nine votes.

The Cortland Red Dragons finished the 2012 season with an overall record of 34-6. Cortland was crowned SUNYAC Champions and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

SUNY New Paltz ended last season 34-9. The Hawks defeated SUNY Cortland in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, but fell short in the regional final when Clarkson University defeated them 3-2.
