SYRACUSE, N.Y. - New Paltz's Brianna Fitzgerald has been selected as this week's SUNYAC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.

Fitzgerald posted a career-high 31 points to lead the Hawks to a regular season series sweep on the road over Cortland Saturday, becoming just the sixth Hawk ever in program history to score 30-plus with her performance ranking fifth-most in single-game program history. She shot 11-for-24 from the field in the 64-46 win, while adding seven rebounds, a team-high four assists, one steal and two blocks in a career performance. In a blowout over Oswego Friday, Fitzgerald played just 15 minutes and scored 20 points on 7-for-9 shooting, while adding five rebounds, two assists and four steals to aid in a 71-43 win.
