Carr and Nardi Continue Careers in Southern Professional Hockey League

Two State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men's Ice Hockey athletes have signed deals with two different Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) teams. Kevin Carr, a goalie that played for Buffalo State signed a deal with the Peoria Riverman and Stephen Nardi, a defenseman for SUNY Cortland signed with the Knoxville Ice Bears.

Carr finished his final season at Buffalo State this season and had a remarkable college athletic career there beating school record after school record including most career saves with 3,225, shutouts with nine, save percentage with 92.1% and career wins with 45. Carr signed with the Riverman days after his season was over and quickly travelled down there to play in his first game.  In his first game for the Peoria Riverman Carr saved 26 shots as the Riverman won easily in Carr's debut 4-1. Carr is finishing his degree online and will get his bachelor's degree in health and wellness in May.

For Nardi he was SUNY Cortland's best defensemen this season scoring 10 points on three goals and seven assists this season. Nardi finished his career scoring 27 points on eight goals and 19 assists in 91 games.  Nardi has not made his debut for the Ice Bears yet but it should be a solid one.

Both the Ice Man and Riverman have already clinched playoff berths this season.
