Plattsburgh wins 2015 SUNYAC ice hockey title

PLATTABURGH, N.Y. - Plattsburgh ice hockey captured its 22nd overall State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) title with a 2-1 win over Oswego (18-4-4) in the championship game, Saturday night in Plattsburgh. This is the 14th overall conference championship for the Cardinals under current head coach Bob Emery and the first since 2012.

With the SUNYAC crown, the Cardinals (20-5-2) earn an automatic bid into the 2015 NCAA Division III ice hockey tournament.

The SUNYAC Tournament Most Valuable Player, Connor Toomey and All-Tournament Team selection Connor Gorman scored the two goals for the Cardinals while Brady Rouleau had  17 saves in goal.
