Oneonta Men's Soccer Wins Back-to-Back SUNYAC Championship

Oneonta captures its second straight State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men’s Soccer title Saturday at the Field House Soccer Complex in Plattsburgh.

Prior to last 2011, the last time Oneonta won the SUNYAC Men’s Soccer Championship was in 1985. With the win, the Red Dragons earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Oneonta defeated New Paltz Friday, 2-1, to move on to the Championship game where they outlasted No. 1 seed Plattsburgh, 2-1.

Oneonta’s senior defender Dan Scott was named the SUNYAC Men’s Soccer Tournament MVP.
