Geneseo takes 2015 SUNYAC women's basketball title

GENESEO, N.Y. –  Geneseo captured the 2015 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's basketball title and an automatic bid into the NCAA DIII tournament. The Knights outlasted Cortland ,61-54, in the final game Saturday in Geneseo's Schrader Gym.

Geneseo (23-4) wins its fifth title overall, second under current head coach Scott Hemer and first since the 2010-11 season.

Dana Cohan and SUNYAC Tournament MVP, Shannon McGinnis lead Geneseo with 14 points each while Brittney Dumas had a team high 13 points for the Red Dragons.
