The SUNY Oneonta women's soccer team captured the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship for the first time since 2010 topping Geneseo, 4-1, Saturday. The championship is the 12th for the Red Dragons, which is the most of any school in the SUNYAC

With the win, the Red Dragons (12-4-3) earn an automatic bid into the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament. This will be Oneonta's 14th appearance all-time in the tournament and first since 2010.

The top-seeded Oneonta earned a bye into the SUNYAC semifinals where they knocked off No. 4 Brockport, 2-1.

This is the fourth SUNYAC Title under current head coach Elizabeth McGrail.
