NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's soccer team joined other members of the campus community at the New Paltz Walk Against Rape (NPWAR) on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 12 p.m. on the concourse of the Student Union Building.

The event, which was organized by the Student Association, took place to raise awareness about rape and sexual assault. On Thursday, Oct. 16, an informational meeting was held to discuss involvement with the event as well as rape culture and President Barack Obama's national "It's On Us" campaign.
