GENESEO, N.Y. - Geneseo (16-2-2) captured the 2014 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) women's soccer title after scoring in the last minute of regulation to beat Cortland (7-9-2), 1-0 at their home field Saturday. This is the Knights sixth SUNYAC title overall and first since 2009.
With the win, Geneseo received an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament which begins next Friday, Nov. 14th at campus sites to be determined.
The lone goal was scored by the tournament MVP, freshman Leah Greene assisted by sophomore Stephanie Clookey.
