SYRACUSE, N.Y. – New Paltz's Anthony Pericolosi is the SUNYAC Baseball Athlete of the Week while Oneonta's Sean Liquori is the Pitcher of the Week.
Pericolosi was the offensive catalyst in a 3-0 sweep over Bard College. He totaled seven hits, six runs scored, five RBI, two walks and a stolen base while hitting .636 with an on-base-percentage of .643 with a slugging percentage of .909. In game one against the Raptors, Pericolosi hit 2-for-4 with two runs, an RBI and a double. In a 3-0 win, he was one of four hits for the Hawks in the game, which produced two runs to give his team a 2-0 lead in the first inning. He then was perfect at the plate in game three, going 4-for-4 with two doubles, four runs scored, two RBI and a walk.
Senior Liquori pitched a complete game in Saturday's 6-1 win over Fredonia. He struck out a career-hit ten batters, while only allowing four hits and one run in 9.0 innings for a 1.00 ERA. Liquori also batted 2-for-4 that game with one RBI. On the week, Liquori went 4-for-11 (.364) with three RBI and four walks.
