SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC recognizes New Paltz's Fabian Apicella and Cortland's Luis Misla as the Baseball Athlete of the Week and Pitcher of the Week respectively.

Apicella was the offensive catalyst in a series win over Brockport. Through three games, he hit .700 in the stretch with an on-base percentage of .727 and slugging percentage of .700 with four RBI, three runs, a walk and two stolen bases. Defensively, Apicella had six total catches with five assists and turned a double play in game three with fielding percentage of .833.

Misla tossed seven shutout innings with 13 strikeouts to earn the win in Cortland's 5-2 victory over Oswego on Saturday. He gave up seven hits and three walks. Misla recorded double-figure strikeouts for the third time this season.
