The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Field Hockey Rookie of the Year, Gabrielle Stein, has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Mid-Atlantic Field Hockey Rookie of the Year while four other SUNYAC athletes have been selected to the All-Star Teams.

In Stein's first year with the Red Dragons, she led the team in goals (21), points (44) and game-winning goals (4). Her 21 goals are the second highest for a freshman in school history. SUNY Cortland finished the year at 14-3, captured the SUNYAC regular-season crown, and posted a 6-0 conference record.
