The State University of New York Athletic Conference has announced its Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference teams for the 2010 season. Cortland junior midfielder, Chris DeLuca (Sayville/Sayville) was named the Player of the Year, while teammate Mike Kaminski (Sayville / Sayville) was named Rookie of the Year. Cortland coach Steve Beville was selected as the 2010 SUNYAC Coach of the Year as the Red Dragons went 15-2 (6-0) and captured the SUNYAC championship.

DeLuca has 30 goals and 14 assists for 44 points, tied for third on the team, despite missing two of Cortland’s 17 games. He has won 70.3 percent of his faceoffs (102-of-145) and is tied for second on the team with 58 ground balls. Kaminski has started all 17 games between the pipes during his freshman campaign. He ranks second nationally with a 5.59 goals against average and is in the top 50 nationally with a .569 save percentage.

Beville has led Cortland to a 15-2 overall record to date. The Red Dragons went 6-0 in SUNYAC play and outscored their opponents by a combined 34-7 in two SUNYAC tournament victories. Beville is 67-12 (.848) in his four seasons at Cortland.

2010 All-Conference
