SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Geneseo's Jimmy Atkinson and Potsdam's Saka Thompson are the SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Athletes of the Week respectively.

Atkinson was dominant for the Knights in their matchup against Oswego this week, as he scored eight goals in Geneseo's 15-6 win. Atkinson's eight goals marked the second most for a game in program history, and handed the Lakers their first conference defeat of the season. Against No. 2 ranked RIT, Atkinson tallied three points with one goal and two assists in a 16-8 defeat.

Thompson earns SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this season after a 16-6 win over New Paltz at home on Saturday. He made 13 saves to lower his conference leading goals-against-average to 7.29. and his save percentage to .656. He entered the week ranked second in the nation in save percentage and eighth in goals against average.
