State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Athletes of the Week Tim Beauvais and Bryan Merlos, both from SUNY Cortland, have been chosen as Division III Men's Soccer Players of the Week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).

Beauvais made seven saves to post his first shutout of the season in a 5-0 victory at home versus RIT on Saturday. His biggest stop came in the 14th minute when he made a diving save on an RIT player who was all alone in the box. This season, Beauvais has played every minute in goal for Cortland.
 
Merlos helped lead the Red Dragons (2-3) to a 5-0 home win versus RIT on Saturday with two goals and one assist. He scored Cortland's third goal in the 37th minute on a long header, tallied the Red Dragons' fourth goal in the 73dr minute on another header and assisted on the team's final; goal in the 89th minute. Cortland's five-goal output was its most since a 5-0 win versus Potsdam in 2010.
