CORTLAND, N.Y. - Cortland (16-2) clinched the top seed and the right to host the six-team double elimination State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) softball tournament Thursday, April 30- Saturday May 2.

The tournament kicks off with four games on Thursday starting with the top seeded Cortland facing No. 6 Fredonia (10-8) at 9 a.m. The second-seeded Geneseo (14-4) will take on No. 5 Brockport (10-8) at 11 a.m. and No. 3 Oneonta (12-6) will play No. 4 Buffalo State (11-7) at 1 p.m. The last game of the day at 3 p.m. will be the loser of game 1 and 2 with a chance to fight back into the tournament.

The tournament continues through Saturday with an if necessary game on Sunday.
