CORTLAND, N.Y. –The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) completed just one full softball game Saturday due to the rain.

Oneonta eliminated Buffalo State with a 5-4, win in the first game of the day. Katie O'Gorman, Brooke Corbett and Dana DelGenio each had two hits for the Red Dragons while Lauren Sabatino had two RBI. Sabrina DeAngelis earned the win on the mound for Oneonta.

The second game between Cortland and Oswego was halted in the bottom of the first inning due to rain and will resume Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Oswego leads the game 1-0, with Cortland batting in the bottom of the first with a runner on second and no outs.
The remainder of the tournament schedule for Sunday, weather permitting, is:

9 a.m. - Cortland vs. Oswego (resumption of Saturday's game)
appx. 11 a.m. - Cortland/Oswego winner vs. Plattsburgh
appx. 1 p.m. - Oneonta vs. Plattsburgh
appx. 3 p.m. - see below

(If Plattsburgh wins both of its games it wins the title. If the Cardinals lose at least once, a final championship game will be played (appx. 3 p.m.) between the two remaining teams.)

If the tournament is not completed, the highest remaining seed with the least amount of losses shall be declared the conference champion. Currently, Plattsburgh (#3 seed) is 2-0 in the tournament, Oneonta (#6 seed) is 2-1, and both Cortland (#1 seed) and Oswego (#2 seed) are 1-1.
