SUNYAC RELEASES WOMEN'S OUTSTANDING SWIMMER AND DIVER OF THE YEAR AWARDS

CORTLAND, N.Y. – The award winners for the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Outstanding Swimmer and Diver of the Year Awards were nominated by coaches based on their performances throughout the season including the SUNYAC Championship meet and NCAA Championships. The 2015-16 Outstanding Female Swimmer of the Year goes to Nancy Nasky (Geneseo) and the Outstanding Female Diver of the Year is Meghan Bartlett (Fredonia).

Outstanding Female Swimmer of the Year
Geneseo freshman Nancy Nasky broke the SUNYAC 1650 free record, won the 500 free and added a leg to win the 800 freestyle relay at the SUNYAC championship. She was the only SUNYAC female swimmer to make the NCAA championships where she competed in the 1650, 500 and 200 freestyle. She was also undefeated in the mile and 500 free throughout the regular season.

Outstanding Female Diver of the Year 
Fredonia's Meghan Bartlett, in her second trip to the NCAA Championships, earned two more All-American honors. In the 1-meter dive she finished second behind the four-time national champion. She also finished third in the 3-meter dive. Bartlett was the SUNYAC Champion in the 3-meter dive for the second straight season.
