SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships - Day 3

RESULTS

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Day three of four of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Swimming and Diving Championships is in the books with four more record breaking events.

Geneseo's Samuel Randall won the men's 1-meter dive title for the second year in a row. With a score of 568.45, Randall broke the conference record set in 2009 and the meet record from 2013.

The men's and women's 200 medley relay teams from Geneseo broke meet records in a time of 1:31.45 and 1:46.10 respectively. The men's team of Kristian Tialios, Troy Miller, Scott Guyton and Jeff Doser topped the existing meet and conference record which was set by Cortland last year (1:31.81). The women's team of Emily Smith, Jenna Gibbons, Hailey Modelewski and Leeza Seelbach set the new meet record beating the old record by .26 set by New Paltz in 2013.

Buffalo State's Connor Mergler broke a 22-year old meet record in the 200 free touching the wall in an NCAA Division III B standard time of 1:39.08.

For the second-consecutive year, Patrick Kaler, President and CEO of the Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission presented the conference with a check Friday night to continue their support of the SUNYAC swimming and diving championships.
