CORTLAND, N.Y. - SUNY Oneonta senior captain Brynn Sussman (Highland Mills/Monroe-Woodbury) and her doubles partner, junior Michelle Spencer (Homer/Homer) have been selected the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week while Geneseo's Marylen Santos (Jamaica/St. Francis Prep) was named the Singles Player of the Week as announced by the Conference office this morning.

Sussman and Spencer led Oneonta to a 2-0 week with a pair of 9-0 wins over Hartwick on Oct. 1 and at St. John Fisher on Oct. 3. The duo won both of their matches at first doubles. Sussman also won both of her first singles matches , while Spencer went 2-0 at third singles.

Santos led Geneseo to a 2-0 week with a 9-0 win at Cortland on Oct. 3 and a 7-2 victory vs. Rensselar Polytechni Institute (RPI) on Oct. 4. She won 6-2, 6-0 at first singles vs. Jean Martinez of Cortland and then claimed a hard-fought 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 victory from Casey Olsen of RPI at first singles just 24 hours later.

The SUNYAC will host the 2014 Tennis Championship Tournament this weekend at the Binghamton Tennis center.
