New Paltz and Oneonta to play for 2023 SUNYAC Women's Tennis Crown

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -  New Paltz and Oneonta will face off Saturday, April 29 at 1 p.m. for the 2023 SUNYAC women's tennis trophy. The Hawks will play for their eighth overall title in program history while the Oneonta Red Dragons look to repeat as conference champions. Watch the championship match live here.

New Paltz 5, Geneseo 0 (BOX SCORE)

The No. 1 seed, New Paltz defeated No. 4 Geneseo, 5-0, in the first SUNYAC women's tennis semifinal Friday afternoon at the Binghamton Tennis Center.

Elite 20

The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. Cortland's Emma Madigan was recognized as this year's Women's Tennis Elite 20 Award winner. The sophomore psychology major has a 3.98 GPA entering the spring semester.
