SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC honors Justine Stanejko and Loretta Donovan as the Women's Tennis Athletes of the Week. Stanejko is recognized as the Singles Athlete of the Week and Doubles Team of the Week with teammate Donovan. 

Stanejko didn't lose a set during the Hawks three-match SUNYAC stint at the Binghamton Tennis Center this past week. Playing at first singles in each match, Stanejko won 6-0, 6-0, against Fredonia and Plattsburgh, won 6-2, 6-0 over Brockport and in an extended match against Geneseo, pulled out a 7-5, 6-3 victory to help the Hawks with three 9-0 sweeps over the Cardinals, Blue Devils, Knights and Golden Eagles to earn the first seed in the SUNYAC Tournament in May.

Stanejko and Donovan won all four of their matches at first doubles this past week to help the Hawks to 9-0 sweeps over Plattsburgh, Fredonia, Brockport and Geneseo to earn the first seed in the SUNYAC Tournament this coming May. The duo defeated the Cardinals 8-1, the Blue Devils and Golden Eagles 8-0 and the Knights, 8-5.
