New Paltz wins second-ever SUNYAC volleyball title
NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - Top-seeded New Paltz (31-5) won its second-ever State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) volleyball championship, Sunday at home with a 3-0 win over No. 2 Fredonia (22-11), (25-19, 25-16, 25-19).
This is the second-consecutive year and third time overall that New Paltz hosted the SUNYAC Championship. The Hawks captured their first crown in 2009.
With the win, New Paltz received an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament.
