SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC picks Erik Kucera from Plattsburgh and Isaiah Brunache from Cortland as it's first Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the 2023-24 season.

Kucera was excellent to begin the 2023-24 indoor season, as the sophomore distance runner was victorious in the 3,000-meter meter-run at the Saint Holiday Relays. Kucera posted a career-best time of 8:54.79 as he picked up his fourth career first-place finish.

Brunache finished fourth overall and was the top Division III finisher in the shot put at the Cornell Greg Page Relays. His distance of 15.63 meters (51' 3.5") ranks seventh nationally in Division III, as of Sunday evening, and is an AARTFC qualifier.
