SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC selects Brockport teammates Jonathan Zavala and Alex Rood as this week's Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week respectively.

Zavala took two event wins at Brockport's Indoor Track home opener. Zavala (4:14.59) secured a photo-finish win in the men's mile, edging out Jackson Doran of Roberts Wesleyan by just 0.05 seconds. In the men's 3k, Zavala finished in 8:46.27 for the 8th fastest time in men's program history and a first place finish.

Rood dominated in Brockport's Indoor opener, taking first in the men's shot put by over 2m. Rood's 16.50m mark was good for a top 5 mark in Brockport program history.
