SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The SUNYAC has seleted Cortland's Leah Bernhardt as the Women's Swimmer of the Week while Brockport's Kyra Russ has been named the Women's Diver of the Week.

Bernhardt helped Cortland post a 4-0 record during the week with dual wins at Oswego Wednesday, home versus New Paltz and Buffalo State in a tri-meet Friday, and home versus Division II Le Moyne Saturday. She won the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.44) and 500-yard freestyle (5:28.13) in the Red Dragons' win at Oswego. In the home tri-meet, she won three events - the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:09.56), 200-yard freestyle (2:01.71) and 500-yard freestyle (5:27.98). Against Le Moyne, Bernhardt was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.40) and she anchored the winning 400-yard freestyle relay that finished in 3:49.17.

Russ placed first at the met this Friday against Geneseo, in both her 1-meter and here 3-meter diving events. In the 1-meter she scored a 269.80, 50.75 points above the second place finisher who scored 2.19.05. In the 3-meter she scored 247.45, 5 points above Geneseo's second place finisher.
