Bernhardt and Jackel Earn SUNYAC Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Cortland's Leah Bernhardt is the SUNYAC Women's Swimmer of the Week for the fourth time this season. Potsdam's Sierra Jackel earns her first Diver of the Week recognition.

Bernhardt won three events at the six-team Cortland Snow Flurries Invitational Friday and Saturday. She won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:15.82, the 1,650-yard freestyle in 18:25.14 and the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.62. She also swam on three winning relay teams - the 800-yard freestyle relay (8:16.83), the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:44.37) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:47.86). Bernhardt helped Cortland win the team title at the meet.

Jackel swept the women's diving competitions over the weekend at the SUNY Cortland Snow Flurries Invitational. Jackel posted a score of 360.15 to win the one-meter diving competition and 334.90 to claim the three-meter title.
