
New Paltz and Oswego to Play for 2025 SUNYAC Women's Tennis Title
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - New Paltz defeated Plattsburgh, 4-0 and Oswego topped Cortland, 4-1, in the 2025 SUNYAC women's tennis semifinals, Friday at the Lane-Starke Tennis Center.
The top seeded Hawks will face the second seeded Lakers in the SUNYAC women's tennis championship, Saturday at 1 p.m. WATCH LIVE HERE. New Paltz will look to defend the trophy and win its 10th overall women's tennis conference title while Oswego will play to capture it's first-ever league crown in program history.
Elite 20
The SUNYAC Elite 20, an award modeled after the NCAA ELITE 90 program, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the conference championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers.
Before the second semifinal on Friday, the SUNYAC recognized Cortland's Emma Madigan as the SUNYAC Women's Tennis Elite 20 honoree for the third straight year. Madigan is a senior maintaining a 3.98 overall GPA as a psychology major.
