
New Paltz Tennis Falls 4-0 to Middlebury College at NCAA's

Middlebury, VT – The State University of New York at New Paltz tennis program fell 4-0 to Middlebury College in round two of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.
Doubles: Justine Stanejko and Isabel van der Veen played first doubles falling 6-0 in their set. Sydney Sladicka and Angelica Gabriel also fell 6-0. Nina Genzone played third doubles and were falling 5-0 when the match went unfinished.
Singles: Stanejko fell 6-1 in her first set and was trailing in the second set 3-1 when the match was called. Sladicka fell 6-0 in her first set and 6-1 in the second. Kunz fell 6-0 In both sets. Gabriel fell 6-0 in her first set and 6-1 in the second, losing the match. Alyssa Trokie was trailing 1-0 in her match, but it went unfished as well. Genzone's match went unfinished.
"Although we are sad to season come to an end against one of the top teams in the country #3 Middlebury" said Coach Rob Bruley "I was very proud of the way that we competed in both doubles and singles. I'm very proud of how everyone competed all season and this match concluded a great season for our program. First of all, I would like to thank our senior Amirah Alston for all her hard work all year. I would like to say a special thanks to our senior captain Izzy for her dedication and commitment over the past 4 years to the program and athletic department. Both seniors will be heavily missed, and we wish them both all the best in the future."
