SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC honors Buffalo State's Nat Sawyer as the Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week while Mia Montgomery from Brockport is the Field Athlete of the Week.

Sawyer had excellent performances in the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles this weekend at the Bucknell University Bison Outdoor Classic, including one of the fastest times in NCAA Division III history in the 400-meter hurdles. The freshman sprinter's time of 58.61 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles is the fastest time in the nation by nearly three seconds. It is also the third-fastest time in the event in NCAA Division III history and broke the conference record. Sawyer also recorded the fastest time in the SUNYAC this season, and tied for the fourth-fastest in the nation, in the 100-meter hurdles at 14.03 seconds.

Montgomery hit a new personal record this past weekend in the long jump with a distance of 5.72 meters. This mark currently ranks sixth in the nation following the weekend's results.
